The Academy of Careers & Technology joined the Technology Student Association in 2004 through a grant from the TSA 25th Anniversary Fund (now the Champion Fund.) ACT is currently the only TSA chapter in Raleigh County. The advisors are R. Keith Butner and D. Thompson-Mills and the principal is Glenn Smith.

Class Officers for the 2006-07 school year are:

John Hopkins , President
John is a senior at Woodrow Wilson High School. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in Criminal Justice.

Jeremy Sallie , Vice President
Jeremy is a junior at Shady Spring. He plans to attend WVU Tech and major in computer information systems.

Brett Hatfield , Secretary/Treasurer
Brett is a senior at Independence High School. After graduation, he plans to attend Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College and major in Graphic Design.

Shemaya Morris, Reporter
Shemaya is a senior at Woodrow Wilson High School. After graduation, she plans to attend West Virginia University and major in computer science.
