Drafting Program Description: The drafting program is a comprehensive study of producing industrial drawings using both drawing boards and computers. Students learn basic drafting skills, which are then expanded on, acquiring the ability to produce drawings necessary for production in our modern industrial technological society. Length: 1080 hours (2 year program - 8 credits) Employment Opportunities: This area of study is designed to provide students with skills in drafting and computer-aided drafting (CAD). Students training modern equipment using the latest software available. These skills will provide a background necessary for obtaining entry-level employment in the drafting field. Opportunities for Further Study: Students interested in pursuing an Associate Degree or a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Drafting at the college level should have an excellent foundation to build upon.
