Program Description:

The Hair Stylist program provides theory and skills-training in basic haircutting, hairstyling, and hair coloring with an emphasis on hygiene, sanitation, customer relations. Graduates are eligible to take the licensing examination from the West Virginia Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists.
 

Prerequisites: Adult students only. Pre-admission exam (TABE) and interview required; student may enroll without a high school diploma or high school equivalency assessment but will not be awarded a Certificate of Applied Studies without a high school diploma or high school equivalency assessment.
